Lucidity is an open-source transformational arts and music festival. We call it open-source because we co-create this festival experience with YOU! We invite you to come play with us, call together your star family, bring art, lead a workshop, spark a spontaneous flash mob, embody a character from your dreams, be silly and wild and free.
We bring together a world class lineup of musical talent and weave them together with the sounds and vibrations of our beloved local legends. Our galleries showcase the most brilliant fine art the region has to offer, enriching the festival as a visual voyage. Art installations pleasure participants with multi-sensory stimulation while themed environments create intimate settings for personal connections. Lucidity’s environmental commitment is to leave Live Oak better than before.

Lucidity Festivals invites you on an epic saga of personal, collective, and global transformation. Each festival year presents another chapter of a larger mythic journey. Beginning in 2012 with Lucidity’s first incarnation, we explored three full trilogies over the past 9 years and are embarking on the final tryptic journey.
You can imagine these trilogies as seasons, similar to how a television series is organized into seasons. Consider chapters 1-3 as Season 1, chapters 4-6 as Season 2, chapters 7-9 as Season 3, and the final season will be chapters 10-12, set for 2023-2025. We joyfully invite you to join us on this life-changing cycle and ride the cresting waves of this beautiful metaphor we call life.

The diverse selection of electronic music is sure to attract to a wide range of fans. With something for everyone – from those who like their bass music deep and dark to those who prefer a more melodic and psychedelic sound. We also have artists who will bring out their cellos, guitars, and keyboards for either impromptu jamtronica, or a pleasant ensemble of world music.

We bring qualified healers to offer their expertise and encourage participants to communicate their needs before enjoying the healing arts. Our I AM Healing services operate on a donation-based sliding scale, allowing participants to contribute within an acceptable range.

Year in and year out, dreamers from across many realms gather in the oak dotted hills above Santa Barbara and build more than a festival, they build a city of our collective dreams. This city is an earthly reflection of a mythic place that sits in our imaginations and in our hearts, at the center of all space and time, where all possibilities, all creativity and all Love is born.
SUSTAINABILITY
Given the current global context of environmental destruction, resource depletion, and cultural manipulation it is vitally important to instill a sense of environmental and social responsibility among the Guardians of today and tomorrow. This means taking a strong look at our personal practices and the ‘Ways We Be’ with our fellow human, our food, our waste, our water, our soil, and our global community of non-human species.
Transforming beyond sustainability toward a regenerative way of life is the goal, and while we acknowledge that we aren’t fully embodying this as a community at this time, we commit to continued learning and movement in the right direction.
